Appeals Kerry Community Services Donate Fundraise Kerry Community Services provides health and social care to over 300 children and adults with intellectual disabilities across County Kerry. It operates under a person-centered model funded by the HSE, focusing on four main service areas: Day Services: Located in towns including Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, and Dingle, these programs focus on skill development in areas like money management, health, and independent living. Many programs offer QQI accredited training. Residential Services: Support is provided through both campus-based care at Saint Mary of the Angels (Beaufort) and community-based houses and apartments. Services range from independent living support to 24-hour care for those with complex medical or physical needs. Respite Services: Short-term care is available to support families and individuals, including specialized care for those with high physical or medical support requirements. Training and Employment: The service advocates for social inclusion by helping individuals access local community activities, education, and employment opportunities. Specific initiatives include the Skills for Life programme in partnership with Munster Technological University (MTU), which blends university life with specialized disability support.
